Liberty’s Varsity football team, with an overall 8-1 record, are currently ranked 2nd in the KingCo 3A/2A league standings and are headed to State! Liberty claimed victories during the month of October against Juanita, Hazen, Interlake and Mt. Si. The single loss of the season came in a great Homecoming game against Bellevue.
The first round of the state playoffs is this weekend with the team going up against Camas High School on Saturday, Nov. 7th. Kick-off is at 6:00 p.m. Let’s turn out and cheer the team on to victory!

Newcastle U-9 Bulldogs Team Wins Championship Game and celebrates in style.

Many of us stayed in town this weekend and attended the U9 baseball tournament.
Newcastle U9 teams took 1st and 4th places out of eight baseball teams over the weekend.

It’s really amazing what these high school gymnasts can do these days. The routines, stunts, choreography and music are stunning. Come watch any of our local high school meets on a Thursday night and you’ll find yourself addicted too. Meets start at 7:00 pm.

The MT SI BPA CLASSIC was an intense 5 game series for the 8 & under. The Newcastle Miners won 4 of 5 games and beat the Kirkland Knights on Sunday 12-0 to win the championship. Click on the picture to see the video. It’s really good! Brandon Steinberg was awarded player of the game.
