What Party are you with… Safeway or QFC ?
Newcastle has two great grocery stores but somehow it seems that we always choose to frequent one over the other. I’ve been asking people lately which way they lean and decided to do a little research for everyone. We share these stores with our neighbors in Kennydale, Newport Hills and Renton also.
Lets start with Safeway….
Safeway is conveniently located near Bartell Drugs and the liquor store which could be enough in itself.
But you can’t beat having a Starbucks right inside!
I haven’t met the same person yet at the Starbucks counter but they seem awfully friendly and they don’t even accept tips!
As you probably know, there is a Chinese food counter at Safeway but the real treat is the deli which will serve you a fresh made sandwich or a hot panini. We sometimes walk here in the morning and have a hot breakfast sandwich and coffee at the tables conveniently located inside.
Next time you’re here, say hi to Ling in the Deli. She’ll make you a fresh sandwich of choice!
